MaiDeck Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MaiDeck Discord bot, its account-linking website, public profile pages, browser helpers, and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required to use Discord and the applicable maimai service in your country. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms yourself, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

You may use the Service only where doing so is lawful and permitted by the terms that apply to your Discord and maimai accounts.

2. What MaiDeck does

MaiDeck provides community tools for maimai players, including:

  • song and chart information;
  • playlists, targets, graphics, and recommendations;
  • importing or linking a maimai profile;
  • viewing scores, recent plays, history, progress, and related statistics;
  • optional automatic collection of recent-play history;
  • optional public profile sharing; and
  • tools that help apply a playlist to maimai DX NET.

Features may be experimental, incomplete, or changed over time. Ratings, chart constants, pattern labels, recommendations, predictions, and other calculated results are informational estimates and may be inaccurate.

3. Your accounts and authorization

You may link or import only an account or profile that you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for activity initiated through your Discord account and for keeping your Discord and maimai accounts secure.

When you choose to link a supported maimai account, you authorize MaiDeck to receive the resulting profile snapshot and, where offered, securely store a reusable session token so it can perform the syncs or playlist actions you request. MaiDeck does not ask for or store your Discord password or maimai password.

Automatic play-history collection is optional. If you enable it, you authorize MaiDeck to access your linked maimai account periodically to read your profile and recent-play data until you disable collection, unlink that profile, or the saved session expires.

Actions that change maimai DX NET data, such as applying a favorites playlist, are performed only when you request them. You are responsible for reviewing the result.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or in violation of Discord's or SEGA's applicable terms or rules;
  • link, import, expose, or modify another person's account or data without permission;
  • submit passwords, Discord authentication tokens, or other credentials the Service does not expressly request;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security or rate limits of the Service or a connected third-party service, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • use automation in a way that harms another user, Discord, maimai DX NET, or the Service;
  • upload malicious, deceptive, infringing, or unlawful material; or
  • resell the Service or use restricted chart-derived data for a commercial purpose.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or third parties, or to comply with law or platform requirements.

5. Your content and data

You retain any rights you have in information you provide, such as playlist names, playlist contents, targets, imported profile data, and settings. You give us permission to host, process, reproduce, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you enable a public profile, you direct us to make the selected profile and play information available to anyone with its link. You can disable public sharing at any time. Disabling it invalidates the previous public link.

6. Service content and intellectual property

MaiDeck's original software, presentation, and branding belong to the operator or applicable contributors. Any open-source distribution is governed by the license included with that distribution, if any.

Song titles, artwork, game assets, maimai, maimai DX, maimai DX NET, Discord, and other third-party names and materials belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not transfer ownership to MaiDeck.

Some chart information is derived from community or research sources with their own attribution and use restrictions. Those restrictions continue to apply. In particular, restricted research data may not be reused commercially through MaiDeck.

7. Third-party services

The Service interacts with services operated by others, including Discord and SEGA's maimai DX NET. Those services have separate terms and privacy practices, and their availability is outside our control.

MaiDeck is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by Discord, SEGA, or the maintainers of third-party data sources.

SEGA's current maimai DX NET terms prohibit automated tools or programs that SEGA has not approved. MaiDeck does not claim to have SEGA approval. Do not use account-linking, synchronization, or favorites automation unless SEGA permits your use. We may disable these features while their status is unresolved. We do not promise that a third party will permit or continue to permit any integration.

8. Availability and changes

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We do not guarantee that the Service or stored data will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You should keep your own copy of information that is important to you.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, its support server, or another appropriate channel. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Termination and deletion

You may stop using MaiDeck at any time.

/account unlink removes the selected linked maimai profile and its associated stored authentication, score records, snapshots, recent-play history, collection state, and public-profile link. It does not remove your separately saved playlists or operational usage logs.

/account delete-data removes all live MaiDeck data associated with your Discord account, including profiles, stored authentication, scores and history, playlists, targets, settings, pending link sessions, public-profile settings, and matching usage-log events. Encrypted backup copies expire through the normal 30-day rotation. You can also request deletion by contacting @wdtcrimson on Discord or emailing wdtcrimson@gmail.com. We may terminate or restrict access for a material or repeated violation of these Terms, a security risk, a legal requirement, or discontinuation of the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export or request deletion of your data.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

Nothing in the Service is professional, financial, legal, or health advice. MaiDeck does not guarantee scores, rating gains, account availability, data completeness, or the outcome of actions performed on third-party services.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaiDeck and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, loss of account access, or interruption of service arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service during the 12 months before the claim or (b) IDR 1,000,000. MaiDeck currently does not charge users.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Indonesia, except where mandatory consumer or other applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or requires a different law or forum.

Before filing a formal claim, you and MaiDeck agree to try in good faith to resolve the issue by contacting the other party. This does not limit either party's right to seek urgent relief or use a process that cannot legally be waived.

13. General terms

If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and MaiDeck concerning the Service, except for rights or obligations that cannot legally be changed by contract.
